This card is obviously from early in the cold war space race!  While it's hard to tell, Bob Hope's Christmas cards were extremely sophisticated for the time.  Custom artwork that included Caricatures of his entire family, and multiple pictures that got larger as you unfolded the card into a small poster.

Pay attention to the inadvertent Phallic theme in frames 2 and 3.  The dog humping him reminds me of the Ambiguously Gay Duo on SNL.

I can't seem to find much about the artist: Ted Sally.  Let me know if someone discovers his story?

Celebrity Xmas

My friend Michael bought a house last year in West Los Angeles.  After he moved in, he was going through junk, left by the previous owners, in the garage and discovered remnants of "Old Hollywood!" 

Seems the previous owner was a well known Choreographer 50 years ago who worked with every major player in town.  Most of the box was old Christmas cards, from the likes of Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, Steve McQueen, and many others. 

I will be posting these over the next 2 weeks.  So enjoy "DestroyingMyArt"s little Hollywood time capsule!
