I've Been Abducted By Blackberry

Sorry if I dropped off the map this week.  But I've crazy at work for months and to help I finally got around to buying a new Verizon Blackberry phone.  While I'm not a Crackberry addict yet ("the best way to quit is to never start") it has taken up the last 3 days of my life.  Setting up was easy until I discovered that PocketMac (Blackberry's software to sync your Mac data to your phone) doesn't support my Verizon 8703e model yet - so i'm SOL for a couple of weeks.  Fuck-you very much Blackberry.

Anyhow.  Here's a cute little BB spoof from Canada.

Stephen Colbert - Uber Geek Cool

If you've read this site before, you know my love affair for Mr. Stephen Colbert.  (I recently discovered he teaches Catholic Sunday School, and I still think no less of him!)

Recently SC has been pushing his audience in all sorts of new directions.   While his name is inches away being added (voted) on a bridge over the Danube, he's started a new contest...

SC shot a stupid little green screen gag with him "recreating" the infamous spaz Star Wars Kid.  He posted the movie on-line, and let the geeks go to work.

Destroying My Google Searches

I've got a good amount of postings on this site, and each one is logged by several search engines on the net.   On an average day now, I receive about 10 different Google searches from people around the world.  My blog management software allows me to see where people link through each day. 

I'm always surprised by how people find me...

For some reason Fishers Humane Poultry Killer is the hottest thing ever!  I'm getting about 5 hits a day for people searching for that wacky antique.  I never heard of it until 2 weeks ago.  The other popular search item is any male celebrity (I've ever named in a post) and Circumcised (somewhere I used that word?)   As in "Is Andre Agasi Circumcised?" 

Did I mention I'm world famous in Germany.  That's right, about 25% of my google traffic is from Germany.  (I only know one person in Germany - Sheri, can you explain this?)

Google Crime Map

Incident Log is a fantastic website that takes all police crime data for your area and shows in on an interactive Google Map.  Very helpful for keeping up with your local crime blotter.  Also great for researching real estate in new areas.  As of now, it's available in only select U.S. cities, but keep checking back if your area is not on the map yet.
