Actually he's also got an insane addiction to running. Clocking in over 12,400 miles running.
I've known many extremely talented graphic artists the past 15 years. Special FX guys, print artists, motion graphics people, but nobody like FluidEffect. Yes, these guys are only still photo retouchers, but they are fucking amazing. Their work is so perfect, you never notice it.
They were even able to remove the dripping snot from Billy Bob Thorton's nose! I think they must have read the entire Photoshop manual!
The song is catchy as hell, and the video is weirdly refreshing (and yet seems to have little to do with the lyrics.) Lyrics Born is the voice behind this track. And I'm not sure who else besides DJ Shadow helped. Funky Hip Hop that is sung, not rapped. Sweet!

Here's a pretty nifty little bit of Flash authoring - a never ending photo-mosaic file. It's hard to describe, but it's actually fun to play with for about 2 minutes. Worth a look.

Roberto is an amazing painter, who works mainly in Celebrity oil paint caricatures.
In 2003 he was diagnosised with Severe Aplastic Anemia (bone marrow failure.) Most likely due to his exposure to the chemical Benzene (in paint thinner.) He has since made a full recovery from the deadly disease, thanks to the National Marrow Donor Program, the help of an annonymous donor, and modern science.
Above is his 1999 painting of Homer Simpson for Esquire magazine. "The article was about how many animation families are more realistic than most of the "real families" on television sit-coms."
